What we are

SeenSure checks whether AI crawlers can read a website, on behalf of that website's owner. If we are requesting your pages, somebody with access to your domain asked us to.

Why our requests say they are GPTBot

To find out how your server treats a crawler, we have to ask the way a crawler asks. If we altered the identification, the test would not reflect what actually happens to that crawler, which would make the result useless.

Every request we send also carries a header pointing back here, so you can always tell our checks apart from real crawler traffic:

How often and how much

• At most one round of checks every six hours per site.
• A single round is a few dozen requests at most, spread out, never in a burst.
• We respect a 15-second timeout and never retry more than once.

Only for sites the owner controls

Continuous monitoring requires proving control of the domain first, by adding a DNS record or uploading a file we specify. The free one-off check on our homepage does not require that, but it is limited to a handful of requests per visitor per hour.

Asking us to stop

Email hello@seensure.com from an address at the domain in question and we will exclude it permanently, no questions asked.
